Tooth Extraction

A myALZteam Member asked a question 💭
Greenfield, WI

My husband needs to have 3 teeth extracted. I’m not sure whether to have it done all at once or one at a time.

I think all at once...just had 4 removed for new denture myself and hubby may cope better with just 1 session of needles and extractions. I hope your dentist is experienced with treating dementia folks and that hubby is able to cooperate without you at his side.

We did my mom’s all at the same time so they only had to numb her once. Came back on other days for cleanings and fillings though. Best to keep the procedures at an hour or less.

My husband had two teeth pulled a month ago which were causing him pain. He had appointment for this week to get two more removed, but told me the day before he was concerned about the procedure and did not want to have it done. So I cancled. Then realized he cant get a bottom denture unless it is done and now wants me to reschedule. But I will wait another week and see how hes feeling about it 😊

Get them out all at one time. 1 experience.

When I had my lowers removed, I didn't know what happened. Then came the uppers and it was with the needle. That hurt, but in the end less of a problem.
