cbprxmom, I can’t answer your question, but I can tell you about my wife’s sleeping pattern. My wife is 74 years old and is in ALZ Stage 5. By 7PM or 8PM at the latest, she is exhausted and ready for bed. Once she is in bed, she falls asleep quickly and sleeps soundly until around 4AM. For the next 3 to 4 hours, she sleeps fitfully and I often find her sitting up and relaxed in bed. The total time in bed is around 13 hours, but not all of it sleeping. I am comfortable with that scenario since she is safe in bed and well rested when she gets up.
