I'm sorry to hear your mum is struggling. Does she have any other conditions that could potentially contribute to this? What is her living situation?
I'm asking because perhaps there are other contributing factors. Ie. For my dad, his symptoms worsen based on various factors such as blood sugar fluctuations, blood pressure, water retention, pain.

Im sorry to hear that. My father has heart, kidney, respiratory, and diabetic issues as well and based on my observations, if my father is very fatigued, or has been eating salty foods and or not taking his Lasik, he becomes much more confused and disoriented. He also tends to have hallucinations. Being in the moderate stage, he has good days still, but the difference is noticeable on days like that. He is also on the Exelon patch. I think he is starting a new medication soon as well.

My Dad has been taking Memantine and Exelon and it has made a world of difference. I hope your mum is doing well.

yes, she has breast cancer and heart issues. She has 24 hour care at home, and we have just gotten her hospice services. They are working with us on her medication management. I'm curious about other people's experiences as the disease has progressed. She has been moderate for 5-6 years. Physically still kind of spry (no walker or cane), but cognitive decline seems much more pronounced lately.
