When i brought my mom to live with us last October we had to lay down some rules in that she was to at least shower once a week. Very seldom did she change her clothes. She had previously been neglecting it when she had lived in her own home. Within weeks she was already making excuses and fighting to not bathe. Since i was to have my 2nd knee replacement and wouldnt be able to assist her we set up a weekly plan through the health authority. Costly but at least it got done with someone else in charge even though she argued with the lady and we literally had to take the dirty clothes away from her. Mom is now in long term care as of January. Good luck on this.

This is one of the more challenging things in our caring. Thankfully, my husband accepts my help willingly.
