He was at grocery pharmacy and the pharmacist told him he is our neighbor and asked what my name is - my husband could not tell him.....and he asked me after being home a while.
Hi Ell! My heart breaks for you as it does for me when it happens with my Mom. I usually say “I’m your daughter - do you know my name?” She hasn’t forgotten that yet, so when she says my name I say “See, you know who I am!” Sending hugs amd support! He knows you and will always have you in his heart!❤️
This breaks my dad's heart when my mom does it. Other days, she calls him by name.
Ellington, that has to be hard, but we all know it’s coming and just part of this disease. He doesn’t realize he doesn’t know.
Awesome response, I agree with what you said.
It’s so sad. My husband does not remember my name or anyone else’s including our dog. He does know who everyone is when he sees them tho. Calls me hey you. Hard as it is, I’ve come to realize we can’t let everything bother us because it’s the nature of the disease and no one person is the same. It’s a long hard road we’re on n just try to do the best we can. Thinking of you all
