If Anyone Can Please Give Me Some Solutions To Get My Brother To Close His Store
A myALZteam Member asked a question 💭

my brother has a store and refuses to believe he can't give change to customers, I feel bad that he just stares at the cash register and doesnt have a clue what he's doing, but refuses to listen to me when I tell him, he needs to close the store, Help!!!! any answers out there would be helpful
if anyone can give me an idea on what to do to get my brother to close his store, as he's losing money by giving customers too much change and refuses to believe that he's being ripped off. Help please

That is tough!!!! Think about making up a story such as there is a water problem or the city closed down the block due to a gas leak. It will not be fixed for a week, etc. Do you have power of attorny so you can then start the process of selling or closing down. Take him on a vacation, have the sale or closing while you are gone, etc. It is hard. My husband had a shop he went to everyday but he could not accomplish anything. He just sat in there or tinkered. Can you set up something to keep him busy in his garage? Can you hire someone to man the store and he does some sort of job in the back or just supervises from home? When I knew my husband needed to retire. We talked about him being old enough to enjoy life. As I am younger, I told him it was his job to take care of me. I left notes with one or two jobs on it during the day. He liked to feel needed.

You can take him to court and get power of attorney, or. He can sign power of attorney over to you! Good luck hugs to you

We just went to our lawyer and had it drawn up. There is probably a way to do it on line as well. If you do on line, make sure you pick a sight that as it outlined for your state so it will be legal. Once it is drawn up, it is signed and witnessed . I made several copies so I can hand them out as needed.
