My husband takes in the morning, should it be switched to evening
Derek started taking his Aricept at night but after a week of the 10mg he started to have nightmares. Since changing to morning, the nightmares have stopped.
Stan takes aricept as well. I painstaking sat & read the side effects of all his meds one day. The ones with drowniess high on the side effect list are taken at night. Just be sure to consult his Dr. Sometimes he doesnt want to get up easily, but beats being up all night & sleeping during the day.
I had mine switched to early afternoon because of nightmares and now have no issue
Hi, Jo, and welcome. Jackie always took it in the morning without adverse effects. I’ve seen reports of people changing both ways to try to manage side effects. I believe people affected adversely are a minority. I hope you find what works best for your husband.
Good advice Sue....others have had nightmares as well and changed to daytime dose.
