What is the difference between vascular dementia and Alzheimer's?

My mother has Dementia and my dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's last summer. Is there a way to find out if I have early stage Dementia/Alzheimer's?
My husband also 2014 but he lived till Dec 27,2023 at age 87 he also was on Aricept

I believe I put her neurologist when it asked that and if you don't I would've but down his primary care physician hope this helps

Incredibly hard to see him like this , a completely different person that raised me . A man who never raised a hand towards me. So very angry and has put his hands on me one time hurt me pretty bad.

I haven’t posted in a while. I was living in FL but brought my husband up north in May to be near family. He steadily declined, eventually losing ability to walk etc. He is now completely bedbound.
