When I helped a friends daughter to use the hoist for her, she confided that she hated it because she was by nature, a private person, and this hoist took away any dignity she had. I can understand that, wanting to retain dignity as long as possible. They don't have too much else to lose do they? Big hugs!
The only answer lay in which causes the least discomfort for MIL. If it is hit & miss, then it is a waste of time and effort on your part. If you are not worried about the consequences, then do whatever is convenient for you. You have enough to worry about Just keep checking, in case., to prevent sores. Best of luck, I wish you well!!
Yes that’s the only concern I have too, my worry it introduces an extra anxiety for her as she doesn’t like the hoist so it’s an extra anxiety 3 x a day for little return, thank you for answering though,it helps a lot xx
