A friend of mine started using coconut oil pills (I believe) and has had wonderful results. He could tell her the day, who the President is. Im so glad for her. I tried giving it to my husband and didnt see sny good results, it seemed to me it made hid a little worse but maybe not he might have just took a decline pretty bad at thst time. My husband has Early Onset he was 58 when he was diagnosed. He didnt really start to getting bad until a maybe 3 yrs ago. I saw a video that I had posted on Facebook of him shoveling snow off our deck in thr back and that was when we really got alot of snow. The sad part is he is really declining so bad now. My Dr was saying he wasnt really sure if the Alzheimers drugs helped or not. I said I believe they do because he was put on @ Namenda in 2010 and if he hadnt been who knows where he would be today. Im not so sure they are helping now or not but I dont want to take that chance. My husband gets so ugly and mean sometimes. I worked for Visiting Nurse Association for 10 yrs and took care of alot of Alzheimers patience and I have never had one that was combative. There was a guy in our church that I took care of and our Pastors wife told me to becareful because his daughter in law said he was mean, I never saw it. He was really nice or at least he was to me and I was there M-F. I just know this is the most terriblest disease that I have ever seen and pray that one day they will fine a cure so other generations wont have to suffer. My email address is (Email address can only be seen by the question and answer creators) if anyone just needs to reach out. Im praying for everyone. Hope you have a Happy Easter even though holidays are just like every other day in our household. God Bless

I can understand fully Susan. I think most of us would do anything to improve the situation for those we love but that’s where we need to be wary of promises and hopes that might be false. I guess I’m trying to gently spare you any more disappointments. Its enough to deal with this illness. Many who promote these things are more interested in making money off others vulnerabilities than providing true and realistic treatments.

We never used it but making them comfortable is always worth a try at least once for your peace of mind

I give it to my husband in Gumie Bears because I don't think he would understand how to use the oil. It seems to help him somewhat. I use the oil myself, and it helps ease my caregiver anxiety.
