I was dreading doing it after hearing lots of awful stories but found it very easy did it online in the UK. And cost a lot less than getting a lawyer involved.

Not difficult at all, but having an attorney do it is probably best.

I recently got POA for my mom....It was pretty easy to do. Our lawyer came to the house and it took 45 mins max...

My husband and I had our POA's done with our wills a few years ago. I went to see our lawyer after my husband was diagnosed with Alz, and our POAs are still in effect. This is exactly what we need in order to take care of things when they can't. Not expensive compared to the headache they save.

We did it online, yes it was complicated especially getting all the forms signed by the witnesses.
Some of the forms were returned as the witnesses completed wrongly.
