I'm new to myALZteam. In my profile it asks me to "Add Provider". What are you referring to? My PC, my dad's PC? I don't think he sees a Neurologist. (I'll have to check- seems like he should be) !
I believe I put her neurologist when it asked that and if you don't I would've but down his primary care physician hope this helps
Incredibly hard to see him like this , a completely different person that raised me . A man who never raised a hand towards me. So very angry and has put his hands on me one time hurt me pretty bad.

I am trying to figure out how to help my mother-in-law who has been with us 2 months.
I need an official diagnosis but would like more details on caregiving and what level she's at, and whether certain meds are affecting her paranoia. Need advice on psychiatric meds, etc. So do I go to appointments using HER insurance? Or go to my own psychiatrist and ask questions about her? (I don't actually have one) How do you manage these things?
And I'm afraid to say to her "you have Alzheimers so I need… read more

I have to take my 82-year-old Mum back to the doctor next week for the three-month evaluation of Memantine effects (positive or negative). She has no apparent negative side effects, but nor can I see any positive benefit and it is expensive for her. Since it is only supposed to slow progress of the disease, how is one supposed to measure positive effects? I can't notice any visible difference in Mum's memory loss, but cognitive functioning seems about the same.....Does anyone have experience… read more
