I can't say how it affects people with Alzheimer's but I have taken gingko biloba myself to improve my memory. It made me more paranoid and sensitive (I'm schizophrenic) so I stopped taking it.

I tried it all including ginkgo biloba. My husband and I both took it. What I did not realize it that it makes a person extremely sensitive to the sun. All we both got was a sunburn. :)
