Does Anyone Have Any Suggestions On Making Sure My Husband Makes It To The Bathroom...he Can't Seem To Find It Anymore 😞
Whenever h has to go he always heads to the back door, which is the opposite direction of the bathrooms. He was with the caregiver today and she told me that he couldn't find it. I am afraid that if this happens through the night, who knows where he will follow!! ☹️
Use the adult Pull Ups known as Depends or a generic brand (although I found the Depends brand better). Start with evenings with a bed pad on the sheets and gradually work them into day use as well, it makes life a lot more easier and convenient for all parties. As a precaution, I used a "chuck" or bed pad on the couch or chair where he sat and eventually slept in.
Eventually I ended up getting a bedside commode as it made it much easier for him to just get "up and go" He was resistant to both in the beginning but quickly got use to the idea of using them when he realized how much easier it was for him.
My husband uses the grey briefs too! They are awesome! My husband actually went out our back door while looking for the bathroom. That's when we also put on door alarms! It scared me to death!
I. Place sign. Onthe walls and. Arrow. To point towards. The bathroom. Also in the shower. He. Forgot how to turn the. Water. On. And. Off. I give jim. Bath. Every. Morning. Now. When jim. Forgot where the bathroom. Was. I thought he was playing. The bathroom is across the hall from his bed. Room
Take him to the bathroom on a regular schedule.
@A myALZteam Member Thanks! I did purchase some gray, brief looking diaper and he agreed to wear them! He actually thought they were 'neat'! lol I am just hoping he continues to think that!! I appreciate your input! Thanks again!
