Mom Has Begun Crying Almost Every Few Minutes Throughout The Day.
A myALZteam Member asked a question 💭

The minute she is still, she starts crying, sometimes sobbing. At almost 81, she's not that active, providing ample opportunity to start crying every few minutes. What can be done?! I can't do the minimum chores without having to stop and try to get her to stop crying.

OMG so glad for this site, my man has been doing this for the past couple of months, i feel sorry for his friends, but hay if it makes him happy, i'm happy....... i have also stopped correcting his amazing long mixed up stories to them, if it is not hurting anyone it doesn't matter, I have stopped stressing myself over the small stuff and i am realizing more and more, it is all small stuff, good luck, we are all in this together

DEPRESSION , anxiety , mood swings are all a part of Alzh. It is so frustarting not to be able to covey thoughts, feelind, ideas. A peron is over come with it all.. I have been there and lived through it. I still am . I take PROZAC 10 MG 2 TIMES DAILY AND IT HAS HELPED ME . ALSO NAMENDA AND EXELON HELP THE BRAIN IN DIFFERENT WAYS. I once took care of a very needy lady for a few months. She constantly wanted me to be there with her which I could not do. So I would sit her down every day and make her peel carrots for our supper. I did not care how much. The work calmed her down and helped her to pull herself together and make conversation.

Now that I live with my Mom, I find times that she has been alone too much or not socialized enough and she is falling into a depression....She becomes angry and very suspicious of all matters. So i take the time to change what she is doing to something different and positive. We can go sit on the deck and have coffee and invite a neighbor over, we can go visit one of her family. Even going to the store for a quart of milk and a walk around helps change the mood. Once the mood changes get her to help by sweeping the floor or dusting. Contributing to the house is good way to improve self esteem and the feeling of hoplessness.
