My husband is 56 years and was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's January 2015. This morning he was saying that he can't handle the air in the house and was getting very emotional. I asked him what was wrong and he said he didn't know. Has anyone else seen this type of behaviour?
Can you use an air freshener with a scent he likes near where he sits? It might help mask the smells. Also always have your fan on your range hood going when you cook.
Ask him if it's the smell or the temperature...could be either/or
My husband has trouble with all cooking smells. As soon as I start the dinner he runs around opening all the doors. All very well good except when it's 43 degrees outside and I have the aicon on trying to keep the house cool.
Well, kind of. My husband had two operations last year and from the last one got a bacterial infection. We have spent 3 months with him not being able to stand any cooking smells. He opens all the doors ( when it's 33degrees plus outside and I'm trying to keep the place cool) and still goes and sits outside on the verandah.
Thankyou
