Music is always a help to soth and bring back memories. You both can dance around the table holding hands.! Folding a basket of towels is easy and helpful. you can always take the basket away and shake them up to have a new basket. Does not matter how well it is done... the idea is to give them a sense of selfworth. THey enjoy the praiseand contributing to the house.

My hubby's only hobby was his yard. He is no longer able to do the yard which is nearly 1/2 acre. He us blind in one eye and gradually liaising sight in the other. I have tried to interest him in many little projects but he just sits. When weather permits U take him for rides and he does enjoy that.

My mom doesn't like to be around a lot of people. She gets really worked up and wants to leave. She lives with my husband and I. I bought her some colorful buttons I found at Walmart. They are bright colors. Then I Got an egg carton and had her put the different colors and shapes in the different little holders. She works on that for a while thinking she is working.
At one time she would do crosswords and circle words. Now she has a hard time holding a pen or pencil. So this works out well for her.
