Seeking a caregiver support group in the Lehigh Valley, PA for myself and possibly my mom to help cope with father and his newly onset 'mild' dementia.
Your best bet is to call your local Alzheimer's Association and see what is available locally.
@A myALZteam Member appears there is a DelVal chapter in Hellertown. http://www.alz.org/delval/
Thank you so much @A myALZteam Member!! I appreciate the information!!
No but Google it or seek Area Agency on Aging and can get connected often.
Do not forget there is a National Alz Association Hotline you can call for emergencies 24/7. Be coureous of their time and try to be concise.
Also National Association of Alzheimer's has tons of support including ALZHEIMER Reading Room and even if not fully diagnosed as such very similar.
The book 36 Hour Day is a great resource book - very thick. It is one you simply look up topic you are dealing with and just read that. Not so much a book to be read in total - would overwhelm you.
TEEPA SNOW is one of the LEADING if not THE LEADING BEHAVIOR EXPERTS in dealing with all sorts of issues. Look her up thro National ALZ Association or find her on YOU TUBE.
Hi Kelly! No, I have not. If and when I hear of any, I'll gladly let you know.
