Has Anyone Noticed Their Loved Losing The Ability To Write?
A myALZteam Member asked a question 💭

I found a notebook beside my moms favorite chair with line after line of scribblings. She said she doesn't remember doing that but she assumes she did since it was beside her chair. I have figured out a few words. There was also some addition and subtraction going on, but all the answers were way off. I guess it doesn't really matter as she doesn't have the need to write anything. It just like more of a decline is going on, makes me sad.

My mom is 82 and at Christmas lost the ability to sign her name. She can still read but comprehension is not there. She flips through a small catalogue for one hour over and over and over. She cannot remember that she has just seen the pages.

My Dad always gives money for Christmas. I buy him the cards in which to insert the money and he usually signs them himself and marks the names on the envelopes. This year, he couldn't do it...gave them to me to do. So I suppose it is yet another symptom of the disease.

@A myALZteam Member thank you, sounds so much like my mom. I tried the adult coloring books and then realized she probably cant even do that. Never occurred to me when I bought it
