My husband was denied long term insurance from a private insurance company through his work. The dates are very close. We applied for the insurance in October 2015. Husband was diasable starting December 15, 2015, but used 2 weeks vacation because applying for disablity. This brings us to January 1, 2106, the date we just found out is when the policy went into effect.
