Members shared mixed experiences with coconut oil for Alzheimer's disease, with some reporting noticeable improvements in comprehension, thoughtfulness, and cognitive stability when using 2 tablespoons daily, while others saw no benefits after months or even years of consistent use. Several members emphasized that coconut oil appears to slow progression rather than reverse symptoms, with a few noting that skipping it during travel or stopping the routine led to visible declines, and many recommended pairing it with a ketogenic diet for better results. A recurring theme was cautious optimism, the understanding that results vary from person to person, and the belief that it's worth trying since it causes no harm and may offer some benefit, even if modest.

I've been giving my husband 2 TBLS of coconut oil n his oatmeal every morning for a couple of years. While I haven't noticed an improvement, it does seem to me that he doesn't do as well when he's off of it for awhile when we are traveling.

Ye, it does not heal them, but it truly slows down the disease. I started this about five months ago, and she has not worsened. Don't bet on healing though - I do not think it is a cure, but it does slow it down. You do have to use dollops of it though - as a creamer in teas, and coffees etc, and in the cereal and foods. Small amounts won't help.

I have been giving my husband 2 tablespoons of coconut oil for the past 5 months. There has been a remarkable improvement and I will continue with it. As we were on holiday for 3 weeks recently, I skipped using it and his mind showed a marked relapse. It can do no harm. It has no taste and it makes his oats nice and creamy.

I have bought it but have not used it as regular as you. I will try using it in Mom's oatmeal from now on. Thanks for the idea.
