As A New Caretaker Is Hard For Me Not To Be Working And
A myALZteam Member asked a question 💭

Oh yes, my mom has Alzheimer's too,
My dad and I r the main caretakers.
My mom is doing great!
And my dad is happy I am here to help as well.
I'm glad I am as well is hard for me not to be working and having no health insurance, is there any help out there for full time family caretakers, as far as health insurance and some income options?

Apply for obama care. You will get it for free with no income. Also take the class so you can get paid to be her aid. Hang in there.

Nothing I know of for insurance for a caregiver (unless you work for people through an agency but that would mean that you wouldn't have as much time with your mother. Can your dad take care of mom without you for a period so you could do work outside of the family? That is really rough. You can check with the insurance companies to see if they can offer you a plan you can afford. Warning this MAY BE expensive. Good luck

In mass
You can become
A nurse aid
In a
Short fee weeks and get paid to take care of her. So the money that would
Have fone to an aid goes to you look
Into that.

That is scary, I depend on the health insurance for peace of mind now and for care in the future. There are too many jobs that don't carry health insurance. Contact Social Security and Medicare to see what guidance they can give you
