CANNOT Get Loved One Out Of The House For Any Appointment Before 1pm. I'm A Morning Person - DONE By Afternoon. How Can I Get Him Out On Time
A myALZteam Member asked a question 💭

Husband is 91 and in early-mid stages. He LOVEs to shower and I can't get him out. This is mostly what makes us late but it can be anything. I just can't get him out so that we're on time. Setting clock earlier doesn't help. Im a morning person and am just exhausted/done by the afternoon, so changing stuff to afternoon is not a favorable option for me.

If you get an answer to this, PLEASE let me know!! My husband hides in the bathroom whenever we have to leave the house. He's in there for 15 minutes or more every time. I'm trying not argue with him about it anymore and started to just pretend to leave without him. I never know what the impact of that will be, he can say I should go without him, but I'm trying not to argue anymore. It's too frustrating.
So I'm trying to learn to move beyond his issues, leave him in the bathroom if he insists, and chalk it up to learning to live without him.
