I have found that the best way to shave my husband is to have him sit in my walker so that he is near the sink in the bathroom. I am able to lock the wheels and it is a stable place for him to sit. I shave him with shaving cream and a regular razor. But I do have an electric razor for him that needs new blades which we have to order from Amazon.com. His electric razor is a Phillips 7000 series and usually, he is able to shave himself with it.

The walker is small enough to fit into most bathrooms and the locking device makes it safe for a place to shave my husband.

My daughter got my husband and me two of the walker style chairs. One for each of us. I keep one in the trunk of my car and the second one in the house. My husband refuses to use it, of course. But I used it the whole time my foot was in the huge boot and found it extremely helpful. Now I have found myself using it more often. But for the bathroom, it was a perfect size, and I could put the brakes on so it wouldn't accidentally roll while my husband was sitting there. My daughter got ours with just a doctor's signature and it costs us nothing. It is always a good idea to get one BEFORE you need it.

Thanks for your reply. We don’t have a walker chair yet but that’s a good idea.

Using a walker with a seat is a great idea. I have one from when I had foot surgery, but never thought to use it for my husband when I was shaving him.
