I tried to help my husband feel useful around the house, so I encouraged him to continue his usual chores and guided him as needed. Sometimes I needed to show him every step, but he felt good about helping. I did not send him out on errands once I realized he had trouble finding familiar places.

Yes, no errands. My husband no longer drives. He has trouble most of the time taking the trash and recyables out so I guide him and he feels good about that, Ill also ask him to bring his hamper down after Ive picked up all his things he has left on the floor and that really makes him feel useful. I try and think of one step things he can do and thank him for doing them which really brings a smile to his face. 🌹😊
