The neuropsychologist was the best but the neurologist sent us to him just for testing. We spent all day with him and then met for results. We went back to the neurologist and he disagreed with the neuropsychologist’s diagnosis. He said my husband had Alzheimer’s when the report said vascular dementia, he was ok 7 months ago with some memory loss but now he’s pretty bad. I’m going to take him to our family doctor who got the neuropsychologist’s report and ask if he can care for him, I no longer trust it like the neurologist. My mom has Alzheimer’s and she is 91. She only saw her family doctor
What stage are you at?
Neurologist or neuro-psychologist for some help with diagnosis or management of behaviors.
Our primary did rule out other causes of memory causes and get a CAT scan but then we were on to a neurologist and psychologist for cognitive testing.
