I need someone to come to the house a few times a week for a few hours at a time to sit with her so I can run errands and such. She has a blanket on most of the time and puts it at her feet when she get too warm. She also doesn’t know the way to the bathroom and needs a little help once there. Any recommendations of a service I can call will be appreciated. Thank you.

The Alzheimer’s Association offers respite care a few hours a week every other week at no charge. Hopefully this is helpful.

We used a company call Visiting Angels I think they are also nationwide. Have u tried your local ALZ agency or ur county’s Agency for Aging they can help with suggestions.

I use an agency called Home Instead. I think it is franchised nationwide. It took awhile to find the right personality fit but now we have the best person. Our Visiting Nurse agency also helps with caregiver concerns. Good luck 🍀

Yes. We were very lucky to get an aide who had experience with dementia and has been a great help. Our Visiting Angels office was very helpful & would check on our family. They have unfortunately closed their office.
Who every you decide to go with definitely ask for someone with dementia experience. Not everyone can handle dementia patients.
Best regards
Debbie
