Arm Tremors Occurring Only In A.M.
A myALZteam Member asked a question 💭

My wife experiences fairly strong hand and arm tremors only in the morning shortly after she gets up. This is new behavior and has not been coincidental with medicine change. Her Dr. did not have any theory as to cause. This upsets her a lot and sets up several hours of anxiety and depression. Has anyone had a similar experience ? My wife is in the mid stage of Dementia, specifically with Primary progressive aphasia

There are two types of dementia that increase tremors. Speak with her physician. There are some medications, 1 in particular prescribed for Parkinson's, that can help reduce the symptoms. Hugs

I would be unhappy if the doctor said he/she doesn’t know cause and left it at that. See a neurologist.

This may be due to some medications; take a look at Drugs.com and see if anything is mentioned there. The other thing, my husband did this the other day, he had gotten cold walking the dad. It lasted several minutes. Definitely, pursue it if an extra sweater doesn’t help or you see something on one of the drug profiles. Hope this helps...
