See if you can find a Resource & Referral service for elder care. I believe A Place for Mom is nationwide. Or, your doctor may be able to arrange for a visiting nurse. Check with your church or synagogue to see if there is someone who can help out.

When we looked after my mil, she lived at an assisted living facility, but stopped showering. My daughter in law was in nursing school at the time. We hired her to pick up bed linens from me, and go shower her once a week, and tell her I needed to wash her sheets and clothes. Just having a different person worked for us. Mary was breezy and chatty, and before mil could object, the job was done!

Might try your local senior center, dr office or home health agency for referrals?

Thank you. I may call her doctor regarding a visiting nurse.
