Dealing with delusional accusations
I lnow O aleays try to defend myself.
Which ones have the least side effects and which ones seem to be working? I'm clueless as to what doctors or prescribing for this with Alzheimer's.

My father went to see his primary(who he has seen for over 50 years). We told him the valium 3xs daily isnt working for my dads anxiety and we need something new. He spent less then 1 minute in the room and prescribed Xanax 2xs daily, and Ativan 1x nightly. Since on the meds(1 week today) he mood s have changed for the better but he is delusional. Most of my wife Kathleen's thinking now is delusional. It's time to start looking into the anti-psychotic meds. I'd appreciate hearing about others' experiences in this regard: good, bad, whatever your experience. Please specify the meds involved. Thanks, I need all the help I can get.

Mom still can do her personal care for the most part. She does not use the kitchen anymore, nor does she drive or go anyplace unattended. My mom has alz/dementia and she started this delusion that she has a new friend in the mirror. Talks to her and even tried to give her a tootsie pop. It's herself she is talking too but she don't realize it's her. Is this normal???
