How Can I Give "do Not Crush" Pills? I Find Pills In Her Purse, Pockets And In Tissue. I Gun
A myALZteam Member asked a question 💭

Mom has some kind of magical way to hide pills in her mouth. Her hallucinations get really bad sometimes. Several of her meds are do not crush and this has become a real problem. Some are heavily coated so they don't just melt when moisture hits them like some if the others.

We were going through this with my husband, I contacted his Dr. and they prescribed same pill only a smaller size and a smaller mg. So he takes two of them twice a day. For now it’s working, we will see

Have you contacted her doctor? Maybe he can switch her prescriptions to something that can be crushed or maybe he has another idea for you.

Maybe try putting the pill in a piece of banana. This works for my mom.... who doesn't have alz, but can't swallow pills.

We did get a liquid medicine today and more that I can crush. Let’s hope we are on a roll now.
