Problems With Over-eating

I see that many people have problems with their loved-ones under-eating and losing weight. My Mum has the opposite problem. She used to be a very slim UK size 10, but now that she is in assisted living, they feed her really well, and she has a cooked breakfast and two three-course meals every day. She also loves eating chocolate. She has put on a lot of weight and is a size 16, and is becoming less and less mobile, as she suffers from a bad back. They hopefully have a dietitian on staff to order diabetic meals, or low calorie meals. If not a dietitian, there must be a doctor, either there on staff or her PCP who can prescribe a special diet.
Of course if it was me,( and actually it is) I would say "the condemned man ate a hearty meal". I would rather die from overweight than Alzheimers. Pass me another piece of that chocolate pie!
