Welcome Ccbella...good question and there's info online re connection between dementia Lewy Bodies not Alz and the early symptoms differ ie LB often presents with hallucinations and Parkinsons type shuffle and tremor while Alz usually presents with memory loss. One article stated that 48 % of those diagnosed with LB late in life had previous diagnosis of ADHD when young.

My hubby still tests in the Mild Cognitive Impairment with Memory Loss stage and has since 2015. He can do daily living activities but I have to organize his day and find things for him to do. He has no friends or old co workers or even family to divert his attention or invite him to do things. He doesn’t like organized activities although I do have him in a weekly church group that is for people with MCI or limited mobility. He is willing to do this. He likes the snacks. I should count my blessings that he is able to manage daily living activities.

Ccbella, it seems like my hubby is in about the same condition. No "diagnosis" yet, but my mother had Alz and I recognize the symptoms. And my husband is legally blind and has been since he was a teen (hunting accident). From that he became a piano tuner but just recently has made more excuses for not doing tunings. After one, he came home and worked for two days on a piano we have. He finally admitted to me that on some days he forgets some of the things (that used to be so easy). Of course, I have always been the driver for when we go anywhere but also, he doesn't have friends or former co workers. It just seems that in the last 6-8 months, I have seen so many differences...possibly some before that thought were because of the sight issues.

Thank you. Unfortunately there is not much information about the elderly as many are not diagnosed. ADHD was not recognized 70 years ago.
