She will never understand, you might as well save your explanations. She is as well as she will ever be again. The disease is relentless...nothing good for her prognosis. Enjoy the time you have, when she still knows you, just change the subject when she is ornary, talk about anything else, go for a walk. If she is in good care you have done your best. Love her til her life unfolds to the end

Mom seems to be doing well and likely no use arguing with her re why she needs the safety of a care home so try less answering her and more changing subject...folks here have lots of tips re similar situations. Welcome to this caring group...hope you find support and info helpful
