My father is currently in a care home but it's not a memory care unit. They have been absolutely amazing and we truly love it. However, he is in the later stages and we are unable to easily get him to the doctor if needed. We had an ER trip last month and it was pretty evident that we will need to make contingency plans. If you have a dnr maybe its time forhospice they will keep him comfortable. And extra attention and comunication with you.

That has been our experience. The dementia unit did not pursue meducal, I always had to push and wait too long for Dr. care. We miss all there, but had to move to a nursing home after hip break. More issues, fever, another fracture, just too much to risk with little help on site. Dr. and practitioners here daily. God bless with your decision.
