My husband was diagnoised with this November 2018. I wondered what to expect and how fast this progresses.

Everyone progresses a little different my husband has had Alzheimer’s for eight years. The Nerologist told us it can go from 5 to 10 years even more depending on the health of the person prior to the diagnosis. Make sure you take care of yourself as well so many of us have a tendency to put ourselves on the back burner and then we are the ones that end up in bad health I speak from experience prayers for you stay strong and well

There is an online programme, “The Many Faces of Dementia” at Futurelearn.com. FTD is one of four less common dementias that are discussed in this very good free programme.

My husband has been diagnosed with FTD. I've taken care of him at home for the past three years. He's been bedfast for nearly 10 months and totally dependent. He's on Hospice which is helpful with bathing and supplies, RN once a week. Thankfully, Bud has stayed very gentle and kind throughout which is why I have been able to care for him at home. Stay strong! Take one day at a time!

My husband has a niece with it and her husband has cared for her the whole time until she had to go into a nursing home
