She will not read anything on dementia and Alzheimer's she will not listen to the nurses (she has canceled them coming saying daddy is doing so much better we dont need them.
Denial! A strange behavior for the victims of all forms of dementia. And immediate family you'll find even some medical persons don't see the signs of degeneration. I was there my self. My husband is capable of switching off and on. One said Jykle and Hyde. It's very difficult for family who live together to always see clearly?
Denial is tough...and its hard for us caregivers, that have issues we are already dealing with...pray, pray, pray. On the bright side, my faith in God has truly gotten stronger...ππΌππΌππΌππΌππΌππΌππΌππΌππΌβ€
My faith grows daily and I'm grateful for that...
Blanch faith can be a comfort! This disease is so world wide, so many variables it can wreck anyone confidence. To endure is not for the "faint of heart" my grandmother said. She was born 1900 in Scotland saw many? She called "troubles" she was 4' nothing she used ro say but mighty. I'd really like to hear what she would say about dementia, alz or another alphabet soup term as to the cause and result. She lived to be way in 90's was always on the run with friends until her sight started deteriorating. Then she went to bed. She'd say in the old country that what one did?? Within 6months she passed away. I miss her terribly
My mother gets mad if I try to talk about her disease...she's 89 and has had this at least 8 years....my sister was helping but she didnt have the "personality" for it. She got mad one day and left. Haven't seen or heard from her since. I'm 64, had to retire from an injury at work. I know live with mom 24/7 except on Wednesday night, I get to go home and spend sometime with my husband. I have depression and PTSD/Anxiety Disorder that I take meds for......I'm hanging by a thread......π€ͺπ€ͺ
