Does anyone know of a travel company that arranges tours/holidays for caregivers and patients (that are still mobile)....?Would be a great asset to know that there is still time to holiday together....

My husband is still mobile and I so miss taking people all over the world. I did it for 25 years but still have my favorite places that I think everyone should see. Also a few places I haven't seen or experienced that I would love to see before I die. Nancy

Enable is a company in UK especially for people with disabilities and their carers. They will arrange everything for you. Prices will vary due to different needs involved. Alternative is a cruise. No luggage handling, chores, and 5* service. There are adapted cabins available for wheelchairs and buggies, but some restrictions may be noticeable when it comes to excursions. We get round this by getting a taxi, which normally works out cheaper and you make your own itinerary. Good luck!!

thanks for info...looking more for travel that is geared to people with alzheimers...limited spaces so they cant wander off, and the care giver can enjoy without having to be looking over her/his shoulder all the time....We did a cruise 2 years ago...found just staying on the ship was easier on me than taking him into the ports we travelled...may even look into Bus Charters....

In the UK there is a company called Enable that will make all your arrangements for you, and help with a hotel selection for those with mobility and other problems. Most parts of the world seem to be covered. My husband is in a wheelchair, and needs an adapted room, which can also be found on cruise ships. They make it simplicity itself if there are no continence problems. But I've no doubt arrangements can be made.

I am in Newcastle Ontario Canada....not sure why agencys havent jumped onto this idea as so many caregivers need these outings....and having so many extra eyes around would certainly make for easy going holidays.(all in the same boat)...Our partners would have to be mobile but the excursions would not need to be too involved...a little walk, a seaside lunch, a hotel/motel with pool, etc...have mentioned this idea to a few people...all seem to like the idea but no one knows of any travel agencys to do this
