My husband is 77 and is taking Aricept, Namenda, Risperidone and Depokote Sps. About once a month he will have 24-36 hours of constant tremors, shaking, twitching. The first time it happened I took him to the ER where he had a CAT scan, CAT scan with contrast and ECG. Everything was normal. If it was my relative I would get a second opinion on the meds. Are these causing it? Is it a side effect? Has his condition developed into something else?
I believe I’d take him off the drugs. Just my opinion, not medical advice.
I had to call 911 2 weeks ago because my mom was having severe tremors. She was in the hospital for a week and after many different tests the only thing they could find is that she was slightly dehydrated . This is the first time this has ever happened and it scared me to death. The tremors lasted 24 hours and she was unable to sleep the whole time.
Has anyone checked for an UTI. My husband had an undetected on and had to be restrained. 8 days in hospital to get it under control and now he’s a different guy.
