My dad keeps forgetting my mom is gone and it’s heartbreaking to have to remind him constantly.

Tell him it will be ok and your there for him. Change the subject when he talk about your mom. Bring up funny stories. That they did together. Try not to mention. She gone. He knows. But forgets

As time went on for my mother after my dad died, we just had to go with whatever she said whether it was I don’t know why he never comes over, or I miss him so much since he died. It is awful when she can’t figure out why he doesn’t come around or just says he does what he wants, but otherwise, it is so much worse for her.
