My husband is on Donepezil (Aricept) and Sertraline (Zoloft) for about 8 months and I did not see any improvement. However, he was fortunate enough to be accepted in a clinical trial. He has been taking Azeliragon in addition to the previous medications for about 4 months and although we do not know if it is the actual drug or the placebo I do see some improvement although, he still shows some signs of Alzheimer's irritation, anger and frustration.
