My husband is streaming toilet paper from his day program and home. He stashes it everywhere. Now he's starting to wrap food up on napkins and if I don't give him a napkin he plays with his food and won't eat unless I feed him this started 3 days ago. Any suggestions on how to cope with this.?
Just let them hoard, unless it becomes a health hazard. They are fearful of the future and feel out of control most days. My husband has accumulated more paper towels and toilet paper than we will ever need, but hey - I don't have to shop for more for quite some time/sam
My mother was a terrible hoarder. I recently found 3 napkins, 2 spoons and a salt shaker up her sleeve. I just go with it rather than completely upset her and empty out her stash later. It's much easier than fighting with her. Everyone is different. My mom is different every day. I make sure she doesn't hoard anything harmful though
Thanks I am trying to hide the less critical paper products toilet tissue I can't he empties a roll every 3 - 4 days I find it stashed in the oddest places too
My Mother does that too. She hides napkins, tissues, paper towels! In her pockets, purse, books, magazines. Refuses to throw them away after using them too. Shredded, neatly folded. Wraps up rolls, pieces of fruit, anything leftover. I found a sock filled with leftover Beef Tips wrapped in a napkin in her drawer at the Nursing Home one day!! I've had to hide my paper products. It has helped. Good Luck
my H collects napkins. we laugh about it and don;t have to buy them for a long time.
